The Institute assists law firms and in-house corporate legal departments to expand their pro bono efforts by finding new methods and resources aimed at helping individuals and groups who could not otherwise afford legal representation and services. G&G wishes Co-Chairs, David R McAtee II, Seniro EVP and General Counsel with AT&T and David G. Leitch, Global General Counsel at Bank of America well in making the evening a success.
G&G hosted an Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago (IPLAC) event in April that addressed the importance of recognizing and overcoming personal biases and stereotypes. Atanu Das, Senior Patent Counsel at G&G, is the Chairperson for the IPLAC Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Thank you to Mr. Das and the entire committee who worked to organize and present the event.
Michelle Silverthorn of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission joined the event as a guest speaker. Attendees enjoyed her insightful Continuing Law Education presentation, “We the People: How to overcome Blind spots, Biases and Stereotypes.”
